Privacy Policy
What we collect, how we handle it, and your rights.
Last updated June 13, 2026
My Film Slate is a product of Intersectionnel Films Inc. ("My Film Slate," "we," "us"), based in Québec, Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have. We've written it to reflect how the product actually works.
Protecting your work is core to My Film Slate. Your application materials are yours, and we've built the product so that your content stays private by default.
The short version
- We collect what we need to run the Service — your account details, the content you create, and basic usage data.
- We never sell your personal information, and we never share your content with advertisers.
- AI only ever touches your content when you explicitly opt in, feature by feature. See AI & Your Content.
- You can access, correct, or delete your information.
Who is responsible for your information
Intersectionnel Films Inc. is responsible for the personal information handled through My Film Slate. Under Québec's Law 25, you can reach our privacy contact through our Contact page.
What we collect
- Account information — your name, email, and login credentials, managed through our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Your content — the project materials, application drafts, uploads, and answers you create in My Film Slate.
- Self-identification answers — if you choose to provide them. These are optional, stored separately from the rest of your application, never used to assess your work, and never sent to any AI.
- Billing information — handled by Stripe. We don't store your full card details; Stripe does.
- Usage data — how you interact with the product, captured with privacy safeguards (see "Analytics" below).
How we use it
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription.
- To communicate with you about your account, support requests, and important changes.
- To send you updates or newsletters if you've signed up for our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the Service secure and to diagnose problems.
Service providers (subprocessors)
We rely on a small set of trusted providers to run My Film Slate. They process information only on our behalf and only to provide their service:
- Clerk — authentication and account management.
- Supabase — database and file storage for your content.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscriptions.
- PostHog — product analytics. Session recordings are captured with full content masking: every input and all the text you type is blanked out in your browser before anything is sent. We can see clicks, scrolling, and layout — never the words of your application.
- Sentry — error monitoring, so we can find and fix problems.
- Anthropic, via the Vercel AI Gateway — used only for the optional, opt-in import feature, and only to transcribe a file you choose to read with AI. It is zero-retention and is never used to train any model. See AI & Your Content.
- Resend — sending transactional email (for example, when you send us feedback).
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) — our mailing list, used to send newsletters and updates to people who sign up. It stores the email address (and any name) you give us when subscribing.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Québec, including elsewhere in Canada and in other countries. We take steps to ensure your information receives appropriate protection wherever it's processed.
How we protect your content
- Your materials are private to your account and stored securely.
- Analytics recordings mask your content before it leaves your browser.
- AI features are off by default and require your explicit, per-use consent.
- We follow an archive-over-delete approach for records tied to submitted applications, so your history is preserved rather than silently lost.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Some items have shorter lifespans — for example, temporary links to uploaded screenshots expire after 7 days. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we must keep certain records to meet legal obligations.
Your rights
Under Québec's Law 25 and applicable Canadian privacy law, you have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct it if it's inaccurate;
- ask us to delete it; and
- withdraw consent for optional processing, such as AI features.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the form on our Contact page, and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the product is used.

My Film Slate is intended for professional and adult use and is not directed at children.
